Enrolments for 2026

Our school follows the Department of Education’s Enrolment Policy for the enrolment, placement, and transfer of students.

If you wish to enrol your child at Riverbend Primary School for 2026 you will need to ensure that your residential address is within the designated neighbourhood area.

To check if you live within this zone please:

• Visit this link: https://www.findmyschool.vic.gov.au/ 
• Type in your current residential address
• Select the correct school type (Primary, Secondary, Specialist)
• The school that comes up first on the list is your zoned school

2027 Prep Enrolments

The Department of Education has released an updated statewide Foundation (Prep) enrolment timeline for the 2027 school year.

The timeline advises families when and how to enrol their child into Foundation (Prep) at a Victorian government primary school, including Riverbend Primary School .

All government primary schools will follow the timeline in 2026 to support Foundation (Prep) enrolments for the 2027 school year.

You can find information and resources about the timeline, including factsheets and a poster at: Enrolling in Foundation (Prep). You can also download the ‘Foundation (Prep) Enrolment Information Pack for Parents and Carers’ from Enrolling in Foundation (Prep) (available from 15 April 2027).

You will be able to apply to enrol your child in Foundation (Prep) 2025 at Riverbend Primary School  from 20 April 2026.

What you need to do:

Check Riverbend Primary School is your designated neighbourhood school via the find my school website.

If Riverbend is the first school listed please:

Contact the school via email enrolments@riverbendps.vic.edu.au and please provide the school with 100 points of ID . Submit completed enrolment form for Foundation (Prep) by Friday 31 July 2026.

If Riverbend is not the first school listed and you would still like to be considered for enrolment: 

1. Please click here to complete an enrolment application 
2. Email your completed application to enrolments@riverbend.vic.edu.au by 31st July 2026
3. You will be notified of the outcome of your application between Monday 3rd August and Friday 14 August 2026. If you receive an enrolment offer, you should contact our school to accept the offer by  22 August 2026.

Enrolment applications submitted after Friday 31st July will be processed by our school as they are received, in accordance with the department’s Placement Policy.

We strongly encourage all families submitting an out of area application to also make contact with their Designated Neighbourhood School for tours and enrolment information. 

                        2027 Prospective Family School Tours 

We are excited to offer school tours for families interested in enrolling for 2027.

Tours will be held on the following dates:

Thursday   7th May – 9:30am
Thursday 14th May – 4:00pm
Thursday 28th May – 9:30am
Thursday 11th June – 4:00pm
Thursday 18th June – 9:30am

Our morning tours will be led by two of our student leaders alongside a staff member, while afternoon tours will be conducted by a member of our leadership team.
